Welcome to Our Journey to better health after gastric bypass surgery.

After years of being overweight, we have come to a decision that in most instances, was not easy. This site will help us talk to each other honestly and openly in a safe place where no one is going to judge you for your decision to have the surgery or for the way you are adjusting to a new healthier lifestyle.

I started my journey 4&1/2  years ago when my weight and health issues became out of control. I had metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, diabetes,

Hasimoto thyroiditis, Osteoarthritis, I had to have my gallbladder removed, found out I had hereditary hemochromatosis and finally was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. So I had to take my health back and find a way to get the weight off. I had tried every conceivable diet and nothing worked for me, so to live longer, I made the decision to undergo the surgery and in March of 2014, I had gastric bypass surgery and I have lost 100 pounds and I am not looking back!

I am going to share with you some of my best secrets because I eat anything I want to eat, take my vitamins and minerals as directed. I no longer need my blood pressure medication, my diabetes is gone, I don't have to take thyroid medication anymore, my joints feel fine and I will be 5 years cancer free this year.

I am not a physician, so please seek medical advice if you have medical questions. I am not a nutritionist, so if you are having problems with foods, please seek out your nutritionist. I just want to share my story with you and my journey to a better way of living.

My name is Cyndi Ganz, and I will be posting my You Tube videos weekly which will show you how to cook for your new stomach and how to eat, some tricks to start firming up and feeling better about yourself. I look forward to this journey. Welcome!

Before the surgery 230 lbs
